As decided at the General Assembly 2002 and at the April 2010 board meeting:
We have inquired the Marie Curie Fellowship Unit at the European Commission and asked whether the fees could be paid from the institutional allowance of the Marie Curie Fellowship grant. In the reply Georges Bingen, the head of the unit confirmed that membership fees are considered eligible costs of a Marie Curie fellowship contract. Here is a copy of these letters:

The membership fee covers the period from January to December of the current year, and it can be paid from the date of the annual General Assembly of the previous year. Members who have not paid the annual fee by the 1st of March of the current year will become MCFA affiliates (see below). New members registering after this deadline will be of course full members as soon as they pay the membership fee.
If you decide against being full member under these conditions, we would still like to keep contact with you and invite you to become MCFA Affiliate. Your member login and password will still be valid and you will be able to change your data at any time. You will however not have access to the extended members database search facility and will not have access to any other member benefit. The MCFA affiliate status is the default when we do not receive the membership fee from you. As a MCFA affiliate, you have at any time the possibility to erase your data from the database (and quit the MCFA affiliate status), or on the contrary to become a MCFA full member (by paying your membership fee).
The membership fees can be paid either by bank transfer to our account in Belgium, by Paypal, or by credit card. We prefer bank transfer, as this involves less fees and administrative work for us. If you have an account in Euros in a EU country, the banking fees for you are also reduced to the minimum as they are the same than for a domestic bank transfer. However, if this is not convenient for you (for example if you don't have an account in Euros or your banking fees for a transfer are too high) then please pay by Paypal or credit card.
In any case, you should receive a confirmation of your payment within a few weeks, otherwise you can contact the MCFA treasurers (treasurer@mariecurie.org) in order to check that we have received your payment.
When paying by bank transfer, please quote your name in the description (or reference) of the transfer, so that we can correctly identify your payment!

Please always use the IBAN (International Bank Account Number) and BIC (Bank Identifier Code, sometimes called SWIFT) below when doing an international bank transfer, as this helps reduce significantly bank transfer costs.

BIC: BPOTBEB1 (if this does not work then please retry and add "XXX": the length of the BIC code depends on the country)

To pay by Paypal, please use the button below. You don't need to have a Paypal account to use this option. Please enter your full name and the amount for your membership (see above). You can also add a donation to this amount. If the person paying is not the member, please also send an e-mail to treasurer@mariecurie.org.
Please note that credit card payments on this website are not possible anymore, but you can still pay by credit card by using the Paypal link above.
